A singer and songwriter whose music embodies both the small town aspect of country music and the catchiness of pop, Cam was born in Huntington Beach and raised in Lafayette, a small but comfortable community in the northern California. Cam went from contemporary pop in 2010 to writing and singing country-oriented material in 2012. After moving to Nashville in 2013, Cam recorded an album, financed through Kickstarter, that featured Tyler Johnson and producer Jeff Bhasker. By Spring of 2015, she signed a record deal with Arista Nashville/RCA Records, and a four-song EP, Welcome to Cam Country, debuted on Spotify. The accolades continued with the rise of “Burning House,” which Rolling Stone Country Called “haunting” and “one of the most buzzed-about tunes of the year.” Cam also became the most nominated female at the 2016 ACM Awards with a total of six nods and she also received a 2016 Grammy nomination for “Best Country Solo Performance” and “Female Vocalist of the Year” and “Breakthrough Female Vocalist of the Year” at the 2016 American Country Countdown Awards.

These days, it’s their original music that is putting them on the map.
